CARPENTER
Qualifications:
- Must be 48 years old or below.
- Must have overseas work experience; experience in Japan is highly preferred.
- Proven experience as an all-around carpenter with strong knowledge of both rough and finish carpentry.
- Supervisor or Foreman experience is preferred.
- Capable of reading and interpreting construction plans, blueprints, and drawings.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Willing to take the IELTS examination as required.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry tools, materials, construction methods, and safety practices.
- Physically fit and capable of performing demanding construction work.
- Reliable, hardworking, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Perform rough and finish carpentry work according to construction plans and project specifications.
- Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install timber and other construction materials.
- Construct and install framing, walls, floors, ceilings, doors, windows, and other structural or finishing components.
- Carry out repair, renovation, and general carpentry work as required.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and carpentry equipment safely and efficiently.
- Check measurements, alignment, levels, and finished work for accuracy and quality.
- Coordinate with supervisors, foremen, contractors, and other construction workers.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition.
- Follow construction schedules and complete assigned work within required timeframes.
- Comply with workplace health and safety regulations and properly use required PPE.
- Perform other carpentry and construction-related duties as assigned.
