Butcher / Meat Sales Associate
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience.
- Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate in Food and Beverage Preparation or related field.
- Male applicants are preferred.
- Experience in meat handling, butchery, or food retail is an advantage.
- Service-oriented with good communication skills.
- Basic computer skills and time management abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Physically fit and willing to work in chilled storage areas.
Responsibilities:
- Follow company policies and procedures in receiving, inspecting, displaying, and storing meat products.
- Cut, prepare, and arrange meat products for display to maximize quality and sales.
- Monitor product movement and assist in placing orders to ensure availability and customer demand is met.
- Implement quality assurance (QA) standards including hygiene, safety, and product quality control.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the meat section, tools, and equipment.
- Perform deep cleaning of work areas according to company standards.
- Reduce stock loss, wastage, shrinkage, RTV, and RTW to improve profitability.
- Ensure proper product rotation and handling to maintain freshness.
- Follow safety procedures to avoid risks and ensure smooth operations.
- Report hazards, equipment issues, or safety concerns immediately to supervisors.
- Support overall customer service and product presentation standards.
