BUS MECHANIC

Qualifications:

• 4 years of experience as a Bus Mechanic or heavy-duty diesel mechanic
• Age: 25–45 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in diesel technology is an advantage
• Proficient in using diagnostic equipment, hydraulic systems, and hand tools
• Physically fit; able to lift 50–100 lbs and perform tasks requiring crawling or kneeling
• Detail-oriented, reliable, and safety-conscious

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine safety inspections on buses, including brakes, tires, lights, and fluid levels
• Diagnose engine, transmission, electrical, and suspension issues using specialized tools and software
• Repair or replace engines, transmissions, differentials, and air brake systems
• Respond to emergency road service calls for stranded buses
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections
• Ensure a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment
• Work in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks as needed
