BUS MECHANIC

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of working experience as a Bus Mechanic
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Valid passport required
• Proficient in English (both written and verbal)
• Valid Category C driver’s license
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, and vehicle diagnostics
• Experienced in preventive maintenance and major repairs
• Physically fit, able to lift heavy parts and work in demanding conditions
• Knowledge of safety procedures and standards in vehicle maintenance
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain buses, including diesel engines and mechanical systems
• Conduct preventive maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake checks, tire inspection, and fluid replacement
• Inspect and repair engine, transmission, electrical, and braking systems
• Use diagnostic tools and testing equipment to identify faults
• Replace or repair defective parts such as belts, hoses, bearings, and filters
• Perform safety inspections to ensure buses meet operational and legal standards
• Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records for each vehicle
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and perform roadside repairs when necessary
• Safely and effectively use hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment
• Collaborate with drivers and other team members to resolve issues efficiently
