Our employer in New Zealand is in need of the following position:
BLASTER PAINTER
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in both blasting and spray painting.
- Familiarity with pressor pot and airless spray systems.
- Experience with intumescent coatings is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure quality finishes.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in industrial settings.
- Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and proper handling of materials.
Responsibilities:
- Perform surface preparation of metal structures and components using blasting methods such as steel grit or garnet.
- Apply spray coatings using pressurized pot systems and airless spray equipment.
- Work with intumescent coatings where required (experience preferred).
- Ensure surface finish quality meets project specifications and standards.
- Maintain and clean all equipment and tools used for blasting and painting.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including PPE usage and environmental compliance.
- Participate in a spray-painting test as part of the assessment process.
