We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Commis (Hot Kitchen) to support our culinary team in preparing high-quality dishes and maintaining efficient kitchen operations. The successful candidate will assist senior chefs with food preparation, cooking activities, and maintaining professional kitchen standards.

COMMIS (HOT KITCHEN)

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a hot kitchen, restaurant, hotel, or similar food establishment.
• Experience as a Commis Chef, Hot Kitchen Assistant, or Kitchen Crew is preferred.
• Previous experience in bakery, baking, or pastry preparation is an advantage.
• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques, food preparation procedures, and kitchen hygiene standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Pleasant personality with a positive attitude and good teamwork skills.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Physically fit and able to work flexible hours as required.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and cooking of hot kitchen dishes according to restaurant recipes and standards.
• Prepare ingredients, sauces, stocks, and other food items required for daily service.
• Support Chef de Partie and senior kitchen staff during food preparation and service operations.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and preparation of food ingredients.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations, equipment, and utensils.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards at all times.
• Assist with stock checking, ingredient preparation, and kitchen setup.
• Ensure proper portioning, presentation, and quality of food products.
• Work cooperatively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Chef or Kitchen Supervisor.
