BLACKSMITH (Aluminum Bending Machine Operator)

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of working experience is required.
• Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Others or similar fields.
• 3–5 years of aluminum fabrication experience is preferred.
• Proven experience fabricating aluminum doors, windows, curtain walls, and partitions.
• Skilled in cutting, bending, assembling, and fabricating aluminum profiles.
• Ability to operate aluminum fabrication machinery, including cutting saws, punch machines, crimping machines, and related equipment.
• Ability to read and understand shop drawings, fabrication drawings, measurements, aluminum profiles, and accessories.
• Good knowledge of aluminum frame assembly, hardware installation, gaskets, seals, and related components.
• Strong understanding of proper alignment, measurements, dimensions, and assembly accuracy.
• Good manual skills and ability to use workshop hand tools and power tools safely.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality fabricated products.
• Ability to inspect completed assemblies and identify defects or dimensional issues before dispatch.
• Physically capable of performing factory-based aluminum fabrication work and handling materials safely.
• Able to work independently and cooperate effectively with supervisors and other factory personnel.
• Reliable, hardworking, disciplined, and safety-conscious.

Responsibilities:

• Fabricate aluminum frames and assemblies for doors, windows, curtain walls, partitions, and related architectural systems.
• Read and interpret shop drawings, fabrication details, measurements, and specifications.
• Measure, mark, cut, and prepare aluminum profiles according to approved drawings and required dimensions.
• Operate aluminum fabrication machinery, including cutting saws, punch machines, crimping machines, and other relevant equipment.
• Set up and adjust fabrication machines to achieve accurate cuts, punches, bends, and connections.
• Perform aluminum bending and forming operations according to required dimensions and specifications.
• Assemble aluminum profiles and components accurately using appropriate fabrication methods.
• Install accessories, gaskets, seals, brackets, fasteners, locks, handles, and other required hardware.
• Ensure proper positioning, alignment, squareness, and dimensional accuracy of fabricated frames.
• Check profile sizes, cuts, joints, connections, and assembly details before completing products.
• Conduct pre-assembly inspections to identify fabrication errors, dimensional discrepancies, or missing components.
• Perform adjustments and rework when necessary to ensure products meet approved drawings and quality requirements.
• Maintain consistent workmanship and finishing standards throughout the fabrication process.
• Verify that fabricated products are complete and ready for safe transportation and installation at the project site.
• Coordinate with supervisors and other factory personnel regarding production requirements and fabrication schedules.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and aluminum fabrication equipment.
• Maintain fabrication machines, tools, and work areas in clean and safe working condition.
• Report machine malfunctions, damaged materials, fabrication problems, or quality issues to the appropriate supervisor.
• Follow established production procedures, workshop safety rules, and equipment operating instructions.
• Minimize material wastage through accurate measuring, cutting, and proper handling of aluminum profiles.
• Conduct final quality checks before dispatching completed assemblies to the project site.
• Perform other aluminum fabrication and factory duties assigned by management.
