The Beam Saw & Edge Bander Operator will operate beam saws and edge banding machines used in the production of furniture, cabinets, and other panel-based products. The role requires strong measuring skills, attention to detail, manufacturing experience, and the ability to operate machinery safely and accurately.

Beam Saw & Edge Bander Operator

Qualifications:

• Proven experience operating beam saws.
• Proven experience operating edge banders.
• Knowledge of panel processing and woodworking manufacturing.
• Good measuring and calculation skills.
• Ability to work accurately and maintain close attention to detail.
• Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Ability to read and follow production specifications and work instructions.
• Knowledge of woodworking panels, sheet materials, and edge-banding processes.
• Good understanding of machine safety and production procedures.
• Ability to perform basic machine adjustments and equipment care.
• Experience operating Biesse or similar equipment is preferred.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Physically fit and capable of handling materials in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Operate beam saws to cut wood panels and sheet materials according to production requirements.
• Operate edge banding machines to apply and finish edge materials on panels.
• Set up and adjust machinery based on production specifications and material requirements.
• Read and follow production drawings, cutting lists, measurements, and work instructions.
• Accurately measure and mark materials before and during processing.
• Process panels according to specified dimensions and tolerances.
• Monitor machine operation and make adjustments when necessary.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of processed panels and finished edges.
• Identify defects, incorrect dimensions, or machine-related issues and report them promptly.
• Perform basic machine checks, cleaning, and routine equipment care.
• Handle and position panels and materials safely during production.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures and safe machinery-operation practices.
• Coordinate with other production team members to maintain an efficient workflow.
• Meet production targets while maintaining accuracy and product quality.
• Perform other panel-processing and manufacturing duties assigned by management.
