AC TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as an Air Conditioning Technician or in a similar HVAC maintenance role.
• Technical or vocational certification in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, HVAC, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of air conditioning, refrigeration, ventilation, and HVAC systems.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration-related faults.
• Experience servicing split-type, package, ducted, VRF/VRV, and central air conditioning systems is an advantage.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Knowledge of refrigerant handling procedures and HVAC safety standards.
• Good troubleshooting, problem-solving, and time management skills.
• Physically fit and able to work at heights or in confined spaces when required.
• Experience in the GCC, particularly in Qatar, is an advantage.
• Willing to work in Qatar under the employer’s policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair residential, commercial, and industrial air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration faults using appropriate testing and diagnostic equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on split-type, window-type, package, ducted, VRF/VRV, and central air conditioning systems.
• Inspect compressors, condensers, evaporators, motors, fans, thermostats, refrigerant lines, and electrical controls to ensure proper operation.
• Recharge refrigerants, detect and repair leaks, and ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
• Repair or replace defective components such as compressors, capacitors, relays, contactors, expansion valves, and thermostats.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and equipment specifications.
• Perform routine cleaning of filters, coils, ducts, and drainage systems to improve equipment efficiency.
• Maintain accurate service records, maintenance reports, and inventory of tools and spare parts.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company standards, manufacturer specifications, and workplace safety regulations.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repair calls.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while properly using tools and personal protective equipment (PPE).
