Commis Chef

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of working experience in a kitchen environment.
  • No minimum educational attainment required.
  • Male applicants are preferred.
  • Basic culinary knowledge and skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.
  • Strong attention to cleanliness, safety, and quality standards.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items under the guidance of senior chefs.
  • Adhere to hygiene and safety regulations, policies, and procedures, including HACCP standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
  • Follow recipes, portion control, and presentation standards set by the restaurant.
  • Ensure all food is stored and handled according to hygiene and safety standards.
  • Support with receiving, unpacking, and storing food supplies.
  • Assist in mise en place preparation to support smooth kitchen operations.
