PASTRY AND BAKERY SPECIALIST

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience is required.
  • Must be a Vocational Diploma/Short Course Certificate holder in Food and Beverage
  • Preparation/Service Management or a related field.
  • Male applicants are preferred for this role.
  • Must have at least 2 years of verifiable Certificate of Employment (COE).
  • COE must be issued by a prestigious/high-end institution or a five-star hotel and/or restaurant.
  • COE must clearly indicate specialization in gourmet, high-end pastry, sweets, and/or bakery products.
  • Experience alone is not sufficient; applicants must present at least one competent and verifiable training diploma.
  • All Certificates of Employment and training certificates must be clear, authentic, and verifiable and must meet the required criteria.
  • Must have a valid passport with a minimum validity of 18 months.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in pastry, bakery, cake preparation, and cake decoration.
  • Skilled in using cream, fondant, chocolate, and other cake decorating materials.
  • Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards is required.
  • Creative, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining high standards of product quality and presentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and handle different types of dough, fillings, creams, and other pastry ingredients.
  • Prepare, bake, and finish a variety of gourmet, high-end pastries, sweets, cakes, and bakery products.
  • Prepare and bake different types and sizes of cakes according to approved recipes and production standards.
  • Decorate cakes using cream, fondant, chocolate, and other decorative materials based on customer requirements.
  • Apply creative cake and pastry decorating techniques to achieve high-quality presentation.
  • Ensure the quality, taste, texture, consistency, and presentation of all pastry and bakery products.
  • Operate baking equipment, ovens, mixers, and other bakery tools safely and properly.
  • Maintain proper portioning, measurements, and consistency according to approved recipes.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the workplace, equipment, tools, and food preparation areas.
  • Follow strict food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients and finished products.
  • Monitor product quality and report any issues with ingredients, equipment, or finished products.
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and product consistency.
  • Perform other pastry and bakery duties as assigned.
