Electrical Technician
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience is required.
- Must hold a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field.
- A Technical Certificate in Electrical Maintenance or a related discipline is preferred.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- Proven experience in electrical maintenance within a food manufacturing or FMCG environment, preferably in powder or bulk food production.
- Strong knowledge of electrical control systems, PLCs, VFDs, motor control centers, industrial wiring, sensors, and automation systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety standards, and electrical safety procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, control panels, motor control centers (MCCs), wiring, sensors, and automation equipment used in food powder production.
- Diagnose electrical faults accurately and carry out effective repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
- Assist in the installation, commissioning, testing, and start-up of new electrical equipment and automation systems.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with technical specifications, GMP requirements, food safety regulations, and workplace safety standards.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, including work orders, service reports, inspections, and spare parts usage.
- Monitor the performance of electrical equipment and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
- Support electrical system upgrades, automation projects, and process optimization initiatives.
- Maintain electrical tools, testing instruments, and diagnostic equipment in good working condition, ensuring proper calibration and storage.
- Work closely with maintenance, production, and supervisory teams to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize production disruptions.
- Report electrical hazards, equipment defects, and unsafe conditions promptly.
