CAS Recruitment UK Limited is seeking experienced and skilled Engineering Technicians specializing in mechanical systems to support operations in a manufacturing environment. The role involves maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring the efficient operation of plant machinery while adhering to safety and quality standards.
ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN (MECHANICAL ENGINEER)
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years proven experience in an engineering role within a manufacturing environment
- Experience working in the Middle East or in regions with a strong heavy manufacturing base, particularly in large-scale plants
- Competent in performing preventive maintenance tasks
- Skilled in fault finding and troubleshooting mechanical systems
- Experience working with mechanical screws, conveyor belts, grinders, gearboxes, pumps, and seal replacements
- Ability to assist external contractors with installation, providing technical support as needed
- Competent in monitoring machinery and ancillary equipment during production and completing required documentation
- Ability to identify and rectify defects and follow through to resolution
- Willing to assist in operational duties when required
- Strong commitment to maintaining health and safety standards in the workplace
- Trained in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP)
- Trained in Basic Health & Safety Awareness
- Must have UKVI IELTS with a minimum score of 5.5 in each category
- Excellent English communication skills (spoken and written)
- Must have a newly renewed passport
Responsibilities:
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment
- Diagnose faults and perform repairs on plant machinery
- Monitor equipment performance during production operations
- Maintain accurate maintenance and operational records
- Support installation and commissioning activities with external contractors
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe at all times
- Assist with general operational tasks as required
Salary and Benefits:
- Salary starts at £4,532.32 gross monthly
- Forty-Eight (48) Work Hours per week
- Three (3) years contract, renewable

I am a Mechanical Engineer with over seventeen (17+) years of progressive experience spanning piping engineering, construction, and maintenance operations across Oil & Gas and large-scale infrastructure projects in the Middle East and the Philippines.
My professional background includes solid experience as a Maintenance Engineer with Balayan Distillery Inc., Philippines, where I was responsible for the reliability, preventive and corrective maintenance of plant equipment, utilities, and piping systems. In this role, I led troubleshooting activities, implemented maintenance programs, reduced downtime, and ensured continuous plant operations in compliance with safety and quality standards. This experience strengthened my foundation in equipment integrity, root cause analysis, and operational efficiency.
In the Oil & Gas sector, I contributed to major, technically complex projects including the Juaymah Gas Plant Expansion Project in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under Saudi Aramco, as well as the Al-Khaleej Gas and RasGas Liquefied Natural Gas Onshore Expansion Phase-2 (Train-6 & Train-7) in Ras Laffan, Qatar. My responsibilities included piping installation, inspection, testing, and commissioning, ensuring strict compliance with international codes and standards, project specifications, and QA/QC requirements.
Beyond Oil & Gas, I have also been involved in Qatar Petroleum large-scale infrastructure development projects such as the expansion of Ras Laffan Port, construction of a Multi-Purpose Administration Complex, Sidra Medical and Research Center (Sidra Hospital), Al-Bustan Pipeline and the Msheireb Downtown Doha Project. These engagements enhanced my ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, manage site execution, and deliver engineering solutions in high-pressure environments.
I bring strong technical expertise in construction management of piping systems (A/G-Piping & U/G Piping for Wet Utilities Network) including isometric drawing interpretation, material take-offs, hydrotesting, QA/QC processes, and site supervision. I am knowledgeable in international standards such as ASME, API, and ISO, and I consistently uphold safety, quality, and efficiency across all project phases. My certifications and professional achievements further demonstrate my commitment to continuous improvement and adherence to global engineering best practices.
