JAPANESE HEAD CHEF

Qualifications:

• 25–48 years old
• Culinary diploma or degree is preferred
• Specialized training in Japanese cuisine
• Apprenticeship under experienced chefs is an advantage
• Minimum of 8+ years of experience in Japanese cuisine
• Expert in sushi, sashimi, and traditional Japanese dishes
• Strong knife skills and attention to detail
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
• Experience in managing kitchen staff
• Skills in menu planning and cost control

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation
• Prepare and oversee the preparation of authentic Japanese dishes, including sushi and sashimi
• Supervise and train kitchen staff to maintain consistency and efficiency
• Develop menus and ensure cost control and inventory management
• Maintain strict food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
• Ensure proper use of ingredients and minimize waste
• Monitor kitchen performance and implement improvements

Requirements:
