SUPERVISOR WELDING
Qualifications:
- Male applicants are preferred

- Diploma in Mechanical/Metallurgy Engineering or Technical Certification (Welding/ITI).
- 7–10 yearsabove in welding activities, with at least 3–5 years as Supervisor.
- Proficiency in WPS, PQR, WPQ and welding inspection procedures. Familiar with ASME IX, AWS D1.1, API 1104, and Aramco standards. Experience in structural, piping, and pressure vessel welding.
- The Welding Supervisor is the frontline leader for welding operations, ensuring all welding works meet safety, quality, and project standards in Saudi projects.
Responsibilities:
- A Welding Supervisor oversees and controls all welding activities at site and fabrication yards. The role ensures welding works are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications, international codes
- The Welding Supervisor also ensures welders are qualified and welding quality meets inspection requirements.
- Supervision & Execution Supervise welders and fitters during fabrication, erection, and repair works. Ensure welding works comply with WPS (Welding Procedure Specification) and project drawings.
- Monitor welding parameters, consumables, and equipment usage. Verify welder qualifications and performance before and during work.
- Quality Control & Inspection Ensure welding activities meet international codes (ASME, AWS, API, ISO) and client standards
- Check joint preparation, fit-up, root passes, and final welds before inspection. Coordinate with QC inspectors for NDT (RT, UT, PT, MT) and weld acceptance. Ensure traceability of consumables, materials, and welders.
- Enforce strict adherence to HSE policies during welding, cutting, and grinding. Conduct toolbox talks and ensure safe usage of welding machines, gases, and PPE. Prevent fire hazards by implementing proper welding safety measures.
- Coordination & Reporting Coordinate with Piping/Structural Supervisors and Quality Inspectors.
- Provide daily progress reports to the Welding
- Superintendent/Construction Manager. Report any welding issues, repairs, or NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports)
- Training & Leadership Guide welders to follow correct welding techniques and standards.
- Recommend training and requalification for welders as needed. Ensure discipline, efficiency, and productivity within the welding crew
