FOREMAN WELDING
Qualifications:
- Male applicants are preferred
- EX CCC CANDIDATES CAN APPLY ONLY
- Technical Diploma / ITI Certificate in Welding or equivalent.
- 5–10 years in welding works, with at least 2–3 years as Foreman.
- Welding processes: SMAW, GTAW, FCAW, GMAW, etc. Understanding of WPS, PQR, WPQ. Familiar with ASME IX, AWS D1.1, API codes, and Aramco standards.
- Ability to read welding drawings and isometrics.
- The Welding Foreman is the frontline supervisor of welders, ensuring daily welding activities are performed safely, efficiently, and according to project and client standards in Saudi Arabia.
Responsibilities:
- A Welding Foreman is responsible for supervising and guiding welders at site or fabrication yards, ensuring that welding activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project drawings, specifications
- The Welding Foreman works under the Welding Supervisor and provides frontline leadership to welding crews.
- Supervision of Welding Crews Direct and supervise welders, helpers, and fitters during daily activities. Assign welding jobs based on skill,
- qualification, and WPS requirements. Ensure welders strictly follow Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
- Execution & Quality Ensure joint preparation, fit-up, and welding sequence are followed correctly. Monitor welding processes, techniques, and consumable usage
- Verify weld quality before inspection by QC team. Report defective welds and assist in repair works.
- Safety & Compliance Enforce HSE rules during welding, cutting, grinding, and handling gases.
- Ensure welders use PPE (helmets, gloves, goggles, fire blankets, etc.). Prevent fire hazards and ensure safety equipment (fire extinguishers, shields) are
- Coordination & Reporting Coordinate daily work with Welding Supervisor and Piping/Structural
- Supervisors. Report manpower, progress, and welding issues to Welding Supervisor. Assist QC inspectors during fit-up and final weld inspections.
- Leadership & Productivity Motivate welders to maintain productivity and quality.
- Guide newly hired welders on proper techniques and project
- standards. Ensure discipline, teamwork, and housekeeping in work areas.
