Instructor – Food & Beverage and Event Management
Qualifications:
- Experience teaching a class or facilitating training.
- Ability to think critically to effectively solve and communicate problems in a fast-paced environment where the demands for work are varied, and unpredictable in scope and volume.
- Ability to use computer applications and enterprise systems, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with diverse populations
- Ability to effectively interact with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
Responsibilities:
- Work with Culinary Team on seamless delivery of food and beverage service
- Must have the ability to manage in a diverse environment with focus on student and customer service which is essential to the success of this position.
- Maintain high performance from all Food & Beverage students and coordinate training as needed. Observe, teach, and coach students on proper service when needed.
- Support banquet and catering operations to ensure optimum guest satisfaction and create an impeccable environment of service.
- Develop an educational beverage program including fundamentals on wine and spirits.
- Knowledge of purchasing, receiving, and inventory systems
- Ensure students adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines provided by San Francisco Department of Health
- Prepares and delivers instruction to students following the class syllabus using the approved learning management system.
- Prepares assignments and assessments to assure achievement of learning outcomes.
- Designs and maintains an active classroom environment conducive to student learning and success
- Provides regular and timely evaluation feedback to students, posts grades, and submits final assessments by the established deadline.
