NFPA Certified Design Engineer
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in fire protection design.
- Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering or a related field.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with a focus on fire protection.
- NFPA Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) or equivalent certification.
- Strong understanding of NFPA standards and codes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and other relevant design software.
Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing fire protection systems in accordance with NFPA standards and codes.
- Conducting calculations and analyses to ensure system effectiveness and compliance.
- Reviewing and approving shop drawings and submittals for fire protection systems.
- Providing technical support to project teams and ensuring adherence to design intent.
- Staying up-to-date on the latest NFPA standards and industry best practices.
- Participating in the development and implementation of new technologies and design solutions.
- Collaborating with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
