UPHOLSTERER

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years evidence based experience in an upholstery role
• Read and understand job specification and requirements
• Work with pattern cutter to complete desired finish
• Independently cut and sew patterns
• Carry out sympathetic repairs to existing furniture
• Dismantle furniture for upholstery preparation
• Install foam and wooden supports to framework
• Install and repair webbing and seating springs
• Fit fabric or leather upholstery to frames
• Stitch, glue and nail fabric into place
• Create flawless finish
• Use hand and power tools
• Manage tasks to meet production schedules
• Complete quality checks on completed orders
