Workshop Supervisor

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant supervisory experience is preferred.
• Must have hands-on experience in the woodworks, joinery, furniture manufacturing, or woodworking industry.
• Strong knowledge of woodworking machinery, joinery techniques, and production processes.
• Experience supervising workshop personnel and coordinating production activities.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, shop drawings, and production specifications.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of quality control procedures and manufacturing standards.
• Familiarity with workplace safety regulations and workshop safety practices.
• Good communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with production teams and management.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet production schedules and deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily workshop operations to ensure efficient production and timely completion of projects.
• Lead, monitor, and support workshop personnel engaged in woodworking, joinery, assembly, and finishing activities.
• Ensure all work is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Monitor production schedules and allocate manpower, materials, and equipment effectively.
• Inspect finished products and work-in-progress items to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
• Oversee the operation, maintenance, and safe use of woodworking machinery, tools, and equipment.
• Identify production issues and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Ensure proper material utilization and minimize waste during manufacturing processes.
• Maintain a safe and organized working environment in accordance with company policies and safety regulations.
• Train and guide workshop staff on proper work methods, quality standards, and safety procedures.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other departments regarding production requirements and project progress.
• Prepare production reports, monitor performance, and report operational issues to management.
• Ensure workshop housekeeping, equipment maintenance, and inventory control procedures are properly implemented.
