United Alfanar General Building Construction and Road Company is seeking a skilled and experienced Wind Turbine Technician for a Wind Energy Maintenance Project in Kuwait. This opportunity is ideal for electrical engineering professionals with specialized experience in wind turbine maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and repair.

Wind Turbine Technician (Wind Energy Maintenance Project)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of specific wind turbine maintenance experience.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, turbine components, troubleshooting, inspection, and maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve technical problems efficiently and safely.
  • Strong attention to detail, teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willing and physically capable of working in demanding wind energy maintenance environments, including working at heights.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on wind turbines and associated electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Inspect wind turbine components, equipment, and systems to identify signs of wear, damage, faults, or abnormal operation.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, control, and turbine-related problems using appropriate testing tools and procedures.
  • Carry out repairs, replacements, adjustments, and maintenance activities according to technical specifications and manufacturer recommendations.
  • Monitor turbine performance and assist in identifying issues that may affect reliability, efficiency, or safe operation.
  • Perform electrical inspections, testing, and maintenance of turbine electrical systems and components.
  • Review technical manuals, maintenance procedures, drawings, and equipment documentation when carrying out maintenance activities.
  • Record maintenance activities, inspection results, faults, repairs, and replacement of components accurately.
  • Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, maintenance teams, and other site personnel to resolve technical issues.
  • Use tools, diagnostic equipment, lifting equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE) safely and correctly.
  • Follow established lockout/tagout procedures, electrical safety requirements, working-at-height procedures, and other site safety standards.
  • Assist with scheduled turbine shutdowns, major maintenance activities, inspections, and component replacement.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe and proper working condition.
  • Perform other wind turbine maintenance and technical duties assigned by management.
