WAITER
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience as a Waiter, preferably in a hotel, restaurant, or hospitality establishment.
- Graduate of a four-year undergraduate course.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong communication skills in English; additional language skills are an advantage.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food and beverage service standards, menu presentation, and upselling techniques.
- Positive attitude, professional appearance, and strong teamwork skills.
- Passion for hospitality and willingness to learn and grow professionally.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests warmly and create a friendly, professional, and welcoming dining environment.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently in the restaurant, courtyard, and lounge areas.
- Coordinate closely with the Food & Beverage Manager and kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate service.
- Manage multiple tables while maintaining prompt, attentive, and courteous service.
- Memorize and demonstrate thorough knowledge of breakfast, lunch, dinner, and beverage menus.
- Explain menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods, and provide recommendations based on guests’ preferences and dietary requirements.
- Upsell menu items, beverages, and special promotions to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
- Set up dining tables correctly before service and perform proper handover and breakdown procedures after service.
- Polish and maintain the cleanliness of plates, cutlery, glassware, and other tableware.
- Ensure dining areas remain clean, organized, and fully prepared throughout service.
- Anticipate guests’ needs and respond promptly to requests or concerns.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and health regulations at all times.
- Perform other food and beverage service duties assigned by management.
