Waiter

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience as a Waiter or in the hospitality industry.
• Candidates must possess a Vocational Diploma or Short Course Certificate in Hospitality/Tourism Management or a related field.
• Must have experience in the same industry or a similar food and beverage service environment.
• Familiarity with Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and cash handling procedures.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Well-groomed, courteous, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.

Responsibilities:

• Warmly welcome guests, present menus, and provide recommendations or explain daily specials and menu items.
• Accurately take food and beverage orders and enter them into the Point-of-Sale (POS) system.
• Communicate special requests, dietary restrictions, allergies, and order modifications clearly to the kitchen and bar staff.
• Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring presentation and service standards are met.
• Check on guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction, refill beverages, and respond promptly to additional requests.
• Clear used plates, glasses, and utensils, clean tables, and prepare dining areas for the next guests.
• Process cash, credit card, and other payment transactions accurately, issue receipts, and provide correct change.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, service stations, and workspaces.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and health department regulations at all times.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to provide efficient and high-quality service.
