Technician

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience as a Technician or in a similar technical role.
  • Vocational Diploma or Short Course Certificate in Electrical, Electronics, Engineering, Electromechanical, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of electrical, electronic, and electromechanical systems.
  • Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair technical equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and service manuals.
  • Good problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance and equipment servicing procedures.
  • Physically fit and capable of performing technical and field service work.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical, electronic, and electromechanical equipment.
  • Diagnose faults and perform troubleshooting using appropriate testing and diagnostic tools.
  • Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Assemble, test, and commission equipment according to technical specifications.
  • Read and interpret electrical diagrams, wiring schematics, technical manuals, and engineering drawings.
  • Replace defective components and perform equipment adjustments and calibration as required.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, service reports, and repair documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace health, safety, and quality standards.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and testing equipment safely and effectively.
  • Coordinate with supervisors and other technical personnel to resolve equipment issues promptly.
  • Assist with equipment installation, upgrades, and technical improvements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Provide technical support and perform other duties assigned by management.
