STEEL WALL FRAMER

Qualifications:

• Must have proven hands-on experience as a Steel Wall Framer, Metal Stud Framer, or Steel Frame Installer.
• Must have experience installing light-gauge steel wall framing systems, including metal studs and tracks.
• Must be skilled in measuring, marking, cutting, and assembling steel framing materials.
• Must be able to read and follow construction drawings, blueprints, and framing layouts.
• Must be knowledgeable in using power tools, including drills, screw guns, cutting tools, and measuring equipment.
• Must be able to check wall framing for correct measurements, alignment, level, and plumb.
• Must have experience framing around doors, windows, and other wall openings.
• Must be physically fit and capable of performing construction work.
• Must be safety-conscious and able to work effectively as part of a construction team.

Responsibilities:

• Install light-gauge steel wall framing systems using metal studs, tracks, and related framing components.
• Measure, mark, cut, and assemble steel framing materials according to project specifications.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, technical plans, and framing layouts.
• Use power tools and measuring equipment, including drills, screw guns, cutting tools, and levels.
• Install steel framing around doors, windows, and other wall openings according to approved layouts.
• Check completed wall frames for accurate measurements, alignment, level, and plumb.
• Identify and correct framing discrepancies to ensure compliance with construction requirements.
• Coordinate with supervisors and other construction workers to complete framing activities efficiently.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and keep the work area organized.
• Follow construction safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Perform other steel framing and construction-related duties as assigned.
