Franklin Smith Limited is seeking experienced Sprinkler Fitters to join its team in New Zealand. The successful candidates will be responsible for installing, maintaining, testing, and repairing fire sprinkler systems in commercial and industrial buildings while ensuring compliance with technical specifications, safety regulations, and fire protection standards.

Sprinkler Fitter

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of overseas experience as a Sprinkler Fitter or in a similar role.
• Strong technical knowledge and practical trade skills in fire sprinkler installation and maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret technical plans, specifications, and safety procedures.
• Good spoken and written English communication skills.
• Capable of working independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Safety-conscious, reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to producing high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities:

• Install, assemble, and maintain fire sprinkler systems, pipes, fittings, valves, and related components.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, sprinkler system plans, specifications, and installation requirements.
• Measure, cut, fit, and connect pipes according to project specifications.
• Perform pressure testing, inspections, and troubleshooting of sprinkler systems.
• Identify faults and carry out repairs or adjustments to ensure proper system operation.
• Ensure installations comply with safety requirements, industry standards, and project specifications.
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and other trades to complete projects efficiently.
• Maintain accurate work records and follow required documentation procedures.
• Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean, organized, and safe.
