The Destination SPA is seeking a skilled and customer-focused Spa Therapist to join its wellness team in Ghana. The successful candidate will provide exceptional massage therapy and facial treatments while ensuring the highest standards of guest care, hygiene, and professionalism. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about wellness, relaxation, and delivering personalized spa experiences that promote clients’ health and well-being.

SPA THERAPIST

Qualifications:

• Must possess a TESDA Massage Therapy NC II Certificate.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a spa, wellness center, hotel spa, or similar environment.
• Proficient in professional massage therapy and facial treatments.
• Strong interpersonal, customer service, and client communication skills.
• Knowledge of proper body mechanics, massage techniques, skincare practices, and wellness treatments.
• Professional appearance with a friendly, courteous, and positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods while performing treatments.
• Willing to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays, as required.

Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of professional massage therapies based on clients’ individual needs and preferences.
• Provide facial treatments following established spa protocols and skincare standards.
• Conduct client consultations to assess treatment needs, health conditions, and contraindications.
• Recommend suitable spa treatments, skincare products, and wellness services to clients.
• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and hygiene in treatment rooms, equipment, and work areas.
• Prepare treatment rooms by ensuring all supplies, linens, oils, and equipment are clean and properly organized.
• Ensure client comfort, privacy, and safety throughout each treatment session.
• Follow all health, safety, and infection control procedures.
• Participate in on-site specialty treatment training and continuous professional development programs as directed by management.
• Maintain accurate client treatment records and document any relevant observations.
• Build positive relationships with clients by providing outstanding customer service and professional communication.
• Promote spa services and assist in achieving guest satisfaction and business goals.
• Report equipment issues, maintenance needs, or supply shortages to supervisors.
• Perform other spa-related duties assigned by management.
