SMAW WELDER
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience in welding.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Knowledge and practical skills in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW).
- Ability to read and interpret welding symbols, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with metal preparation, cutting, grinding, and fitting.
- Ability to select suitable electrodes and welding settings for assigned tasks.
- Willingness to undergo a trade test.
- Willingness to attend a Russian language course.
Responsibilities:
- Perform welding using Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) in accordance with approved specifications and technical drawings.
- Read and interpret welding symbols, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning, cutting, grinding, and fitting materials before welding.
- Select appropriate electrodes, welding current, and welding techniques based on the material and required weld quality.
- Ensure welded joints meet the required standards and specifications.
- Inspect completed welds for visible defects and report any issues that require correction.
- Follow proper welding procedures and workplace safety requirements.
- Maintain welding equipment, tools, and a clean, organized work area.
- Coordinate with supervisors and other team members to complete welding tasks efficiently.
