SERVER
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate holder in Food and Beverage Preparation/Service Management,
- Hospitality/Tourism Management, or a similar field.
- Proven experience as a Server, Waiter, or in a similar food and beverage service position.
- Excellent customer service skills and a positive, courteous attitude.
- Ability to accurately take food and beverage orders and communicate them clearly to kitchen and service staff.
- Good knowledge of menu items and ability to make appropriate recommendations.
- Ability to answer customer questions and provide clear information about food and beverages.
- Strong attention to detail when taking and delivering orders.
- Ability to monitor tables and respond promptly to customer needs.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm, efficient, and professional during busy service periods.
- Knowledge of proper food handling, hygiene, sanitation, and restaurant safety procedures.
- Ability to work effectively with kitchen, food preparation, and restaurant service teams.
- Physically fit and capable of standing and walking for extended periods during service.
- Reliable, hardworking, organized, and customer-focused.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent and professional wait service to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Welcome customers and assist them with seating and menu selections when required.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and with a positive and courteous attitude.
- Explain menu items, answer customer questions, and provide additional information about available food and beverages.
- Make appropriate menu recommendations based on customer preferences.
- Relay customer orders accurately to the kitchen and beverage preparation areas.
- Deliver food and beverages to customers promptly and according to established service standards.
- Check tables regularly to ensure customers are enjoying their meals and receiving proper service.
- Respond promptly to customer requests, concerns, or complaints and take appropriate action to resolve problems.
- Follow up with customers during meals to ensure satisfaction.
- Clear used plates, glasses, utensils, and other items from tables.
- Maintain clean, organized, and properly arranged dining and service areas.
- Assist with table setup, resetting, and preparation before and after service.
- Coordinate with kitchen and food preparation staff to ensure orders are completed and delivered accurately.
- Assist food preparation staff when necessary, particularly during busy service periods.
- Ensure food and beverages are handled and served according to proper hygiene and safety procedures.
- Follow restaurant policies, service standards, food safety requirements, and workplace procedures.
- Process customer payments and provide accurate bills when assigned.
- Communicate special requests, dietary requirements, and customer concerns to the appropriate kitchen or supervisory staff.
- Maintain a professional appearance, positive attitude, and courteous manner at all times.
- Perform other restaurant service and customer-related duties assigned by management.
