The Duty Senior Technician supervises Fire Command Center AFA operations, Elevator Management Systems, BMS and Emergency Generator Systems within WAMI managed properties. The Duty Duty Senior Technician also receives and acts upon receiving fire alarms and urgent requests from WAMI department stakeholders. This role ensures that all equipment and infrastructure are functioning efficiently and safely and provides technical support to resolve issues promptly. This position might require occasional handling of manual and power tools to troubleshoot and repair equipment.

Senior Duty Technician (Engineering)

Qualifications:

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Engineering or related Facilities field. Candidates with an extensive verifiable hands-on related experience will also be considered
• Minimum 3 years hands-on experience as mechanic, electrician or controls technician will be highly valued
• Minimum of 3 years experience in facility maintenance or engineering operations as duty engineer, managing small teams of technicians in luxury hospitality or high end mixed use facilities
• Strong knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
• Familiarity with CMMS platforms (e.g., Maximo)
• Experience with BMS systems as operator
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Ability to read technical drawings and operation & maintenance manuals
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Technical proficiency in engineering systems.
• Availability to work in 24/7 shifts patterns required

Responsibilities:

Operations & Maintenance

• Monitor AFA Panels and respond promptly to Fire alarms in coordination with Security
• Monitor and operate Elevator Management system to address requests for lift isolations
• Monitor and operate BMS to address requests and concerns from stakeholders regarding temperature, lighting and other utilities services
• Troubleshoot BMS commands and graphics from an operator perspective
• Control implementation and execution of Permit to Work system
• Perform AFA panel isolations and reinstatement
• Make regular property inspection rounds through the property to assure lighting, temperature and other environmental conditions are according with expected
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies in a timely manner.
• Prepare daily status reports on stakeholders requests, routine inspection rounds, etc.

Collaboration & Guest Experience

• Supervision support of other engineering team members and departments as needed
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors for access, fire isolations and reinstatements, hot works, confined space access, etc.
• Demonstrate empathy, service excellence, and a proactive attitude when interacting with residents, guests, or colleagues.
• Respond to inquiries regarding Facilities related issues

Safety, Compliance & Sustainability

• Enforce compliance with safety regulations and company policies by team members and contractors.
• Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Team Leadership & Training

• Assess and enforce adherence to Facilities division standards
• Ability to effectively manage other Facilities Team Members in the absence of Facilities Senior Management

Requirements:

• Must have a valid passport for more than 3 years
• Employment certificates
• NBI clearance valid for at least 1 year with “no derogatory / no record on file” remarks
• PEOS certificate
