SEMI SKILLED WELDER

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience as a Semi-Skilled Welder or in a similar role.
  • Maximum age of 35 years old.
  • Must possess a valid NC I Certificate in Welding, as required by the employer.
  • Must possess a valid passport with at least 3 to 5 years of remaining validity before expiration.
  • Basic knowledge of welding techniques, metal fabrication, and the safe operation of welding equipment and hand tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic welding drawings and fabrication measurements.
  • Physically fit and capable of performing manual work in construction, fabrication, or industrial environments.
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic welding and fabrication work using appropriate welding processes under the guidance of supervisors or skilled welders.
  • Prepare metal materials by measuring, cutting, grinding, cleaning, and fitting components prior to welding.
  • Read and interpret basic welding drawings, measurements, and work instructions.
  • Assist in the fabrication, assembly, installation, and repair of metal structures, frames, pipes, and other fabricated components.
  • Operate welding machines, grinders, cutting equipment, and other fabrication tools safely and efficiently.
  • Inspect welded joints for basic quality and ensure completed work meets project requirements.
  • Carry out minor repairs and maintenance on metal structures and equipment as assigned.
  • Maintain welding equipment, tools, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
  • Follow workplace health and safety regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Coordinate with supervisors and other team members to complete assigned tasks on schedule.
  • Perform other related duties assigned by management.
