ROOF PLUMBER (STEEL FRAMER)
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a Steel Framer.
- Experience in the installation of roofing systems, including gutters, downpipes, flashings, cladding, and insulation.
- Knowledge of steel framing sections such as SHS, RHS, and metal studs.
- Ability to assemble and erect steel framing for walls, trusses, ceilings, and rollers.
- Familiar with operating equipment such as welders, cutters, grinders, and elevated platforms.
- Physically fit, with the ability to work at heights and handle manual tasks.
- Fluent in English, with effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must either be exempt from the English language test or have passed an IELTS or PTE Academic test.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to drive a four-wheeled vehicle.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and follow construction plans and roofing layouts accurately.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols when working on roofs and with construction tools.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team on larger projects.
Responsibilities:
- Install roofing components such as gutters, downpipes, flashings, cladding, and insulation.
- Install plumbing components related to roofing systems and stormwater drainage.
- Assemble and erect steel framing for walls, trusses, ceilings, and rollers using various steel sections, including SHS (Square Hollow Sections), RHS (Rectangular Hollow Sections), and metal studs for drywall.
- Read and interpret construction plans and roofing layouts to ensure accurate installations.
- Operate tools and equipment, including welders, cutters, grinders, and elevated platforms, safely and effectively.
- Maintain safety standards and follow procedures while working at heights or on elevated platforms.
- Collaborate with other workers, such as plumbers, electricians, and contractors, to ensure timely project completion.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to steel framing and roofing components as needed.
- Ensure all installations meet industry standards and regulations.
