Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience is required.
• Candidates must be a Bachelor’s/College Degree holder in Biotechnology or a related field.
• Must have BSc Echocardiography Technology (ECT), Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS), or an equivalent qualification.
• Proven professional experience in echocardiography, diagnostic cardiac imaging, or a related clinical setting.
• Knowledge of echocardiographic examination procedures, cardiac imaging techniques, and patient preparation.
• Ability to obtain and evaluate high-quality echocardiographic images.
• Ability to recognize potential abnormalities and accurately document or report findings to cardiologists.
• Strong understanding of patient safety, infection control, and clinical procedures.
• Good knowledge of echocardiography equipment and diagnostic imaging technology.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in patient records, image documentation, and reporting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills when dealing with patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive medical information professionally.
• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with the medical team.
• Professional, reliable, responsible, and patient-focused.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the day-to-day operations and coordination of the Outpatient Department (OPD).
• Prepare patients for echocardiographic examinations and explain procedures clearly to ensure their understanding and cooperation.
• Ensure patients are comfortable, properly positioned, and safe throughout echocardiographic procedures.
• Perform echocardiographic examinations according to established clinical procedures and professional standards.
• Operate and properly handle echocardiography equipment and related diagnostic tools.
• Obtain high-quality echocardiographic images and ensure appropriate views are captured for clinical evaluation.
• Analyze echocardiographic images and identify potential abnormalities or findings requiring further assessment.
• Prepare and communicate accurate findings and reports to cardiologists and other appropriate medical professionals.
• Maintain complete and accurate records of procedures performed, patient information, examination results, and image documentation.
• Ensure echocardiographic images are properly labeled, stored, and documented according to hospital procedures.
• Review patient information and relevant clinical history before examinations.
• Follow established infection control, patient safety, and clinical protocols.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and handle medical information in accordance with hospital policies.
• Ensure echocardiography equipment is clean, functional, and properly maintained.
• Report equipment problems, technical issues, or abnormalities to the appropriate supervisor or technical personnel.
• Coordinate with cardiologists, nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient patient care.
• Provide appropriate assistance and reassurance to patients before, during, and after examinations.
• Maintain professional standards and follow applicable healthcare policies and procedures.
• Support quality assurance activities and maintain accurate diagnostic documentation.
• Perform other related OPD, echocardiography, and patient-care duties assigned by management.
