Rigger I

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience in rigging and lifting operations.
• Candidates must be at least a High School Graduate.
• Male applicants are preferred for this role.
• Must have 5–10 years of hands-on experience in rigging and lifting operations, preferably in industrial, construction, oil & gas, or infrastructure projects.
• Must possess a valid Rigger Level I Certification.
• Good knowledge of lifting equipment, load calculations, lifting techniques, and safe rigging practices.
• Able to communicate effectively with crane operators using standard hand signals and radio communication.
• Physically fit and capable of working in demanding outdoor environments while observing strict safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Determine the weight, dimensions, and center of gravity of loads to develop safe and efficient lifting plans.
• Select, inspect, and verify the suitability of rigging equipment, including slings, shackles, hooks, chains, and lifting accessories, before and after each use.
• Inspect cranes, hoists, pulleys, and other lifting equipment for defects, damage, or compliance with safety requirements.
• Attach, secure, balance, and stabilize loads using appropriate rigging techniques.
• Guide crane operators during lifting operations using standard hand signals or two-way radio communication.
• Monitor lifting activities to ensure loads are moved safely and accurately to their designated locations.
• Ensure all rigging and lifting operations comply with company procedures, client requirements, and applicable safety regulations.
• Report defective equipment, unsafe conditions, or lifting hazards immediately to supervisors.
• Maintain proper housekeeping of rigging equipment and work areas.
