Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience as a Commis 3 or in a similar kitchen position.
• Candidates must possess a Vocational Diploma or Short Course Certificate in Food and Beverage Preparation/Service Management or a related field.
• Must have experience in the same field or hospitality industry.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen operations, and ingredient handling.
• Familiarity with food safety, sanitation, and proper storage procedures.
• Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and kitchen standards accurately.
• Physically fit, hardworking, and able to work effectively as part of a culinary team.

Responsibilities:

• Wash, peel, cut, chop, and portion vegetables, meats, fruits, and other food ingredients according to kitchen requirements.
• Weigh and measure ingredients accurately based on recipes and preparation standards.
• Assist senior chefs with basic cooking tasks, including frying, preparation, and assembling hot and cold food items under supervision.
• Prepare, organize, and maintain assigned workstations before, during, and after service.
• Clean and properly store kitchen tools, equipment, and ingredients.
• Assist in receiving food deliveries, checking items, and storing groceries in designated areas.
• Replenish ingredients and supplies at assigned kitchen stations to support smooth service operations.
• Check ingredient shelf life, apply proper stock rotation procedures, and help minimize food waste.
• Follow kitchen procedures, food safety practices, and sanitation standards at all times.
• Support chefs and kitchen team members during busy service periods.
