Grapecare LTD. is seeking qualified and experienced Railway Track Workers to work in the Czech Republic. The successful candidates will perform construction, maintenance, and repair work on railway, tram, and siding tracks. The position involves trackbed preparation, drainage and ditch works, operation of small-scale track machinery, and other railway construction activities. Candidates should have practical experience in railway projects and be physically fit to perform demanding outdoor work.

RAILWAY TRACK WORKER

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience is required.
• Must be at least a high school graduate.
• Practical expertise and experience in railway projects and construction.
• Experience in railway, tram, siding track, or related infrastructure construction and maintenance.
• Experience performing trackbed, drainage, and ditch works.
• Ability to operate small-scale track machinery, including:
  • Tie screwdrivers
  • Rail drills
  • Sleeper drills
  • Hand-held tamping tools
• Ability to operate cut-off and rail-cutting saws.
• Ability to operate mini-excavators for assigned railway construction activities.
• Knowledge of basic railway track construction, maintenance, repair, and safety procedures.
• Physically fit and able to perform demanding manual work with no health restrictions.
• Able to work outdoors and in varying weather and construction-site conditions.
• Good understanding of safe operation and handling of construction and track machinery.
• Ability to follow technical instructions, work procedures, and safety requirements accurately.
• Strong attention to safety, reliability, discipline, and teamwork.
• Willing to follow company policies and railway construction standards in the Czech Republic.

Responsibilities:

• Perform construction, maintenance, repair, and rehabilitation work on railway, tram, and siding tracks.
• Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of railway track systems and related infrastructure.
• Carry out trackbed works, including preparation, leveling, compacting, and maintenance of track foundations.
• Perform drainage works, including the installation, cleaning, and maintenance of drainage systems and ditches.
• Assist with excavation, backfilling, leveling, and preparation of trackside areas.
• Install, maintain, adjust, and repair railway track components according to technical instructions.
• Handle and position rails, sleepers, track materials, tools, and equipment safely.
• Operate small-scale track machinery, including tie screwdrivers, rail drills, sleeper drills, and hand-held tamping tools.
• Use track machinery correctly for fastening, drilling, positioning, and maintenance activities.
• Operate cut-off saws and rail-cutting saws for cutting rails and other track materials.
• Operate mini-excavators for excavation, material handling, drainage, and trackbed preparation when assigned.
• Perform basic maintenance and safety checks on track machinery and hand tools before use.
• Assist in track alignment, leveling, tamping, and adjustment activities.
• Remove damaged or worn track components and assist with their replacement.
• Carry out manual work required for railway construction and maintenance activities.
• Measure and check track components and work areas according to project requirements.
• Follow technical drawings, work instructions, measurements, and specifications provided by supervisors.
• Inspect completed work and report defects, unsafe conditions, damaged materials, or equipment problems.
• Maintain tools, machinery, and work areas in clean and safe condition.
• Follow railway-site safety procedures and work carefully around active or controlled railway environments.
• Use required personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with occupational health and safety regulations.
• Assist with loading, unloading, transportation, and proper storage of railway materials and equipment.
• Coordinate with other track workers, machine operators, technicians, and supervisors to complete assigned work.
• Perform other railway construction, maintenance, repair, and track-related duties as assigned.
