Daewoo Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd. is seeking an experienced QS Welding Inspector to ensure that all welding activities meet project specifications, international codes, and safety standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting materials, monitoring welding processes, and verifying compliance with approved procedures.
QS WELDING INSPECTOR
Qualifications:
- Male applicants preferred.
- Bachelor’s/College Degree in Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in welding inspection or quality control.
- Strong knowledge of welding codes and standards such as ASME and API.
- Experience in inspecting welding processes, materials, and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all welding works comply with project specifications, codes (e.g., ASME, API), and safety standards.
- Inspect base materials and verify proper weld joint preparation and fit-up.
- Ensure that approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) are strictly followed.
- Monitor welding parameters such as amperage, voltage, travel speed, and shielding gas.
- Verify welder qualifications and certifications before and during project execution.
- Conduct inspections at various stages of welding and report any non-conformances.
- Coordinate with QA/QC teams, engineers, and contractors to resolve quality issues.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and prepare reports for management.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and quality standards on-site.
