Kirimana Consultants Limited is seeking experienced Plumbers to join its construction team in New Zealand. The successful candidates will install, maintain, repair, and test plumbing systems for heavy commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects while ensuring compliance with engineering specifications, building regulations, and workplace safety standards.

PLUMBER

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience as a Plumber.
• Proven experience working on heavy commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
• Good English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, plumbing layouts, and engineering specifications.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, installation methods, piping materials, and testing procedures.
• Skilled in using plumbing tools, equipment, and measuring instruments.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
• Physically fit and willing to work in demanding construction and industrial environments.

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, sewerage, stormwater, and sanitary piping.
• Read and interpret plumbing drawings, blueprints, technical specifications, and installation plans.
• Measure, cut, thread, bend, and assemble pipes and fittings using appropriate hand and power tools.
• Install plumbing fixtures, valves, pumps, water heaters, drainage systems, and related plumbing equipment.
• Perform pressure testing, leak testing, and inspections to ensure plumbing systems operate efficiently and meet project specifications.
• Diagnose plumbing faults and carry out repairs or replacements of damaged pipes, fittings, valves, and fixtures.
• Coordinate with engineers, supervisors, and other construction trades to ensure timely project completion.
• Ensure all plumbing installations comply with applicable building codes, project requirements, and safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed, inspections, and materials used.
• Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Perform other plumbing and installation duties assigned by management.
