Peloton Workready Pty. Ltd is hiring skilled Overhead Crane Technicians to support industrial and manufacturing operations across Australia. The role involves installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of overhead crane systems while ensuring safe and efficient material handling operations.

Overhead Crane Technician

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience servicing and repairing overhead cranes and hoists
• With Electrical Qualification and relevant industry experience
• Experience working as an Industrial Electrician on overhead cranes
• Experience as a Residential Electrician involving power points, lighting, air-conditioning, switchboard upgrades, and rewiring is an advantage
• With Mechanical Fitting qualification and related experience
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding capabilities
• Experience in the installation of overhead cranes and hoists
• Proficient in wire rope replacement and visual inspection of lifting and rigging equipment
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Skilled in preventive maintenance and the use of diagnostic tools and equipment
• Strong understanding of workplace safety and lifting operation standards
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently or within a team

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot overhead crane and hoist systems
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults on crane equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections to ensure operational reliability
• Conduct wire rope changes and inspect lifting and rigging equipment
• Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications
• Ensure cranes and hoists operate safely and efficiently
• Use diagnostic tools and testing equipment to identify and resolve technical issues
• Follow workplace safety procedures and industry compliance standards
• Support continuous operation of industrial and material handling equipment
