MECHANICAL FITTER
Qualifications:
- Filipino male, preferably not more than 48 years old.
- At least 3–5 years of overseas work experience in the relevant Mechanical Fitter position.
- Must be able to clearly explain and demonstrate previous work experience and technical skills.
- Strong practical knowledge of mechanical fitting, machinery maintenance, equipment installation, and repairs.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, mechanical plans, technical specifications, and equipment manuals.
- Skilled in dismantling, assembling, aligning, maintaining, and repairing industrial machinery and mechanical components.
- Knowledge of bearings, gears, shafts, couplings, pumps, valves, drive systems, and other mechanical components.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and mechanical workshop equipment.
- Good mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Good understanding of workplace health and safety procedures and proper use of PPE.
- Resume must include specific details of duties, responsibilities, equipment, tools, and scope of work performed.
- Must have verifiable employment experience and credible references.
- Willing to take IELTS or PTE as required.
- Physically fit and capable of performing demanding industrial maintenance and mechanical work.
- Able to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
- Reliable, hardworking, adaptable, and willing to comply with company and site requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Install, assemble, dismantle, maintain, and repair industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, equipment manuals, and mechanical plans.
- Inspect machinery and equipment to identify worn, damaged, defective, or malfunctioning components.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment and plant machinery.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and determine appropriate repair or replacement procedures.
- Remove, repair, replace, and reinstall mechanical components such as bearings, gears, shafts, couplings, pumps, valves, and drive systems.
- Align machinery and rotating equipment using appropriate measuring and alignment tools.
- Perform fitting, machining, grinding, drilling, cutting, and other mechanical workshop activities as required.
- Assemble mechanical components and ensure proper fit, alignment, clearances, and tolerances.
- Use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, lifting equipment, and workshop machinery safely.
- Assist with installation, commissioning, shutdown, overhaul, and maintenance activities.
- Conduct inspections and functional tests following installation or repair work.
- Identify potential equipment problems and recommend appropriate corrective action.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe, clean, and serviceable condition.
- Follow manufacturer specifications, maintenance procedures, and technical requirements.
- Coordinate with engineers, welders, electricians, pipe fitters, supervisors, and other site personnel.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures and properly use required PPE.
- Report equipment faults, maintenance requirements, material issues, and safety concerns to supervisors.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation when required.
- Complete assigned work efficiently while maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
