Mechanical Fitter (Food Manufacturing Industry)
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Fitter in the food processing, beverage, or pharmaceutical industry
- At least a High School Graduate
- Fluent in English, with the ability to communicate technical issues and solutions clearly
- Proven experience operating manual machining equipment, including lathe and milling machines
- Strong expertise in precision fitting, turning, machining, and mechanical assembly
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in TIG welding and fabrication of food-grade stainless steel
- Expert knowledge of sanitary welding, stainless steel purging, and hygienic fabrication standards
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical schematics
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and fault diagnosis skills
- Familiarity with food safety regulations, GMP, and workplace health and safety procedures
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
- Valid experience driving four-wheeled vehicles is required
Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance, repair, and installation of mechanical equipment used in food manufacturing facilities
- Machine, turn, mill, and fit precision components, shafts, bearings, and mechanical assemblies
- Fabricate, modify, and install food-grade stainless steel structures, conveyors, platforms, and piping systems
- Carry out high-quality TIG welding and sanitary welding to meet hygienic food industry standards
- Diagnose mechanical faults and perform effective repairs to minimize production downtime
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications accurately
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery and equipment
- Ensure all fabrication and repair work complies with food safety, hygiene, and quality standards
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, job reports, and documentation
- Communicate effectively with clients and production personnel regarding maintenance activities and technical solutions
- Follow all company policies, health and safety regulations, and standard operating procedures
