Mechanical Engineer
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer, either local or abroad.
- Age limit: Up to 56 years old.
- Strong experience in mechanical engineering and construction project works.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, layouts, and technical documents.
- Experience coordinating mechanical works with other construction disciplines.
- Strong understanding of construction procedures, engineering standards, quality requirements, and safety practices.
- Ability to supervise contractors, subcontractors, technicians, and site personnel.
- Strong technical, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to identify mechanical installation issues and provide practical engineering solutions.
- Good knowledge of project coordination, progress monitoring, and construction documentation.
- Strong communication and coordination skills when working with engineers, consultants, contractors, and project teams.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and compliance.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet project deadlines.
- Reliable, responsible, organized, and capable of working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary construction team.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise mechanical engineering activities throughout the project.
- Review mechanical drawings, specifications, technical documents, and project requirements.
- Ensure mechanical works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and applicable standards.
- Coordinate mechanical activities with civil, structural, electrical, plumbing, architectural, and other construction works.
- Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems and equipment.
- Monitor site activities to ensure proper workmanship, alignment, installation, and completion of mechanical works.
- Coordinate with project managers, construction managers, supervisors, subcontractors, consultants, and other project personnel.
- Conduct regular site inspections and identify technical issues, installation problems, and potential delays.
- Provide technical guidance and solutions for mechanical construction and installation issues.
- Review and coordinate shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical submissions.
- Ensure that mechanical materials and equipment comply with approved specifications and project requirements.
- Monitor the delivery, handling, installation, and storage of mechanical equipment and materials.
- Coordinate inspection, testing, and commissioning activities with QA/QC personnel and consultants.
- Assist in troubleshooting mechanical systems and resolving technical problems during construction.
- Monitor project progress and ensure mechanical works are completed according to the approved schedule.
- Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and other resources required for mechanical activities.
- Review work progress and provide updates, reports, and recommendations to project management.
- Assist in preparing technical reports, progress reports, inspection documents, and project records.
- Ensure that mechanical works comply with applicable engineering codes, standards, safety procedures, and project specifications.
- Participate in technical meetings, coordination meetings, progress meetings, and site inspections.
- Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with project requirements and approved work procedures.
- Assist in identifying construction risks, technical constraints, and potential schedule impacts.
- Ensure proper completion, testing, documentation, and handover of mechanical systems.
- Maintain accurate records of mechanical activities, inspections, testing, and completed works.
- Perform other mechanical engineering, construction, supervision, and coordination duties assigned by management.
