Mechanic

Qualifications:

• Relevant experience as a Mechanic, Maintenance Mechanic, Industrial Mechanic, Machine Mechanic, or Mechanical Technician is preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing, factory, industrial, or production environment is an advantage.
• Knowledge of mechanical machinery, equipment, and maintenance procedures.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults.
• Familiarity with bearings, gears, belts, chains, shafts, couplings, pumps, motors, and other mechanical components.
• Ability to use common hand tools, power tools, and mechanical measuring instruments.
• Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read basic mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and technical instructions is an advantage.
• Physically fit and capable of performing maintenance work in an industrial environment.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Safety-conscious, reliable, and responsible.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine inspection, maintenance, servicing, and repair of mechanical machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and identify the causes of equipment breakdowns.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical components, assemblies, and systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance according to established schedules.
• Inspect equipment for signs of wear, damage, leakage, vibration, or other potential problems.
• Replace worn or defective components such as bearings, belts, chains, gears, seals, shafts, couplings, and other mechanical parts.
• Dismantle, repair, clean, and reassemble machinery and mechanical components when required.
• Adjust and align machine components to ensure proper operation.
• Use hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and mechanical testing equipment safely and correctly.
• Assist with installation, commissioning, relocation, and modification of machinery and equipment.
• Respond promptly to machinery breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
• Coordinate with production and maintenance teams regarding equipment problems and maintenance requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, preventive maintenance, and replacement parts.
• Report major equipment defects and recurring mechanical problems to the supervisor.
• Follow manufacturer instructions, maintenance procedures, and company standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance work area.
• Follow all workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Perform other mechanical maintenance duties assigned by management.
