Working International Resourcing Limited is seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Fitter to support plant and equipment operations in New Zealand. The role involves performing preventive and corrective maintenance, ensuring machinery reliability, and maintaining high standards of safety and operational efficiency.

Maintenance Fitter

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years verifiable experience as a Plant Electrician
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant field
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Solid experience in machinery maintenance, servicing, and routine inspections
• Refrigeration experience is an advantage
• High standard of health and safety awareness and compliance
• Ability to respond quickly and effectively to operational issues
• Strong problem-solving and prioritization skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities:

• Carry out regular maintenance, servicing, and inspection of machinery and plant equipment
• Perform routine checks to ensure equipment is operating efficiently and safely
• Diagnose faults and carry out necessary repairs in a timely manner
• Respond quickly to breakdowns and prioritize urgent maintenance tasks
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations
• Support continuous improvement of maintenance processes and equipment performance
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to minimize downtime
