Orient Construction Company – Weavers / OCC Weavers Ltd. is seeking an experienced Leadman Finishing Carpenter to join its construction team in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will lead and coordinate finishing carpentry work, ensuring that carpentry activities are completed according to project specifications, quality standards, and required timelines.

Leadman Finishing Carpenter

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience as a skilled carpenter, either local or abroad.
• Previous experience in finishing carpentry is preferred.
• Previous experience as a leadman, senior carpenter, or team leader is an advantage.
• Age limit: Up to 56 years old.
• Skilled in measuring, cutting, fitting, assembling, and installing wood and finishing materials.
• Knowledge of doors, frames, cabinets, moldings, trims, wall panels, and other architectural woodwork.
• Ability to read and understand basic construction drawings and measurements.
• Good knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and carpentry equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to supervise workers and coordinate daily carpentry activities.
• Physically fit and capable of performing carpentry work for extended periods.
• Able to work safely in a construction environment and follow site rules and instructions.
• Reliable, hardworking, responsible, and able to work effectively as part of a construction team.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise finishing carpentry activities at the construction site.
• Assign daily tasks to carpenters and assist in coordinating manpower according to project requirements.
• Perform and oversee installation of doors, door frames, cabinets, wall panels, trims, moldings, and other finished woodwork.
• Read and interpret drawings, measurements, layouts, and project specifications for finishing carpentry work.
• Take accurate measurements and ensure proper cutting, fitting, alignment, and installation of carpentry materials.
• Inspect completed carpentry work to ensure proper dimensions, alignment, finishing, and overall quality.
• Coordinate with site supervisors, engineers, foremen, and other trades to ensure smooth workflow.
• Monitor the progress of finishing carpentry activities and ensure work is completed within scheduled deadlines.
• Identify and correct workmanship issues, installation defects, and finishing problems.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and use of wood, boards, tools, hardware, and other carpentry materials.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, cutting equipment, and other carpentry equipment safely and correctly.
• Guide skilled workers and helpers in proper carpentry techniques and safe work practices.
• Ensure that work areas are kept clean, organized, and free from unnecessary hazards.
• Follow construction safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Minimize material waste through accurate measurement, cutting, and proper material handling.
• Coordinate with other construction teams to prevent delays and resolve worksite issues.
• Report material requirements, manpower concerns, progress updates, and technical issues to the supervisor.
• Perform other finishing carpentry and leadman duties assigned by management.
