KITCHEN HELPER

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Kitchen Helper.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy professional kitchen environment.
• Physically capable of lifting, carrying, and moving heavy items safely.
• Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices.
• Familiarity with basic food preparation and kitchen procedures.
• Able to follow instructions and work effectively under the supervision of chefs and kitchen managers.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Responsible, hardworking, reliable, and physically fit.
• Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by the kitchen operation.

Responsibilities:

• Assist cooks and chefs with daily food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Wash, peel, cut, slice, chop, and prepare vegetables, meat, seafood, and other ingredients as instructed.
• Prepare ingredients and kitchen supplies for cooking and service.
• Assist with portioning and arranging food items according to kitchen requirements.
• Carry and move heavy ingredients, kitchen supplies, containers, and equipment safely.
• Receive, organize, and store food ingredients and other kitchen supplies properly.
• Check ingredients for freshness, quality, and proper condition before use.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen work areas, preparation areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Wash and sanitize dishes, cookware, utensils, and other kitchen equipment.
• Properly dispose of food waste, packaging, and other kitchen waste.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and proper food-handling procedures.
• Keep ingredients properly covered, labeled, stored, and protected from contamination.
• Assist in maintaining adequate supplies of ingredients and kitchen materials.
• Support chefs and other kitchen staff during busy preparation and service periods.
• Follow instructions from chefs, supervisors, and other authorized kitchen personnel.
• Maintain an organized and safe kitchen environment at all times.
• Handle knives, kitchen tools, equipment, and cleaning materials safely and correctly.
• Report damaged equipment, spoiled ingredients, shortages, or safety concerns to the supervisor.
• Perform other kitchen support and cleaning duties as assigned.
