INDUSTRIAL GAS FITTER

Qualifications:

  • Relevant hands-on experience in industrial gas systems and Type B gas appliances.
  • Practical experience servicing and maintaining industrial gas systems, including commissioning and fault-finding.
  • Experience working with industrial burners, boilers, furnaces, gas trains, and combustion equipment.
  • Familiarity with PLC-controlled systems.
  • Relevant experience in one or more of the following industries:
    • Manufacturing and processing plants
    • Mining and mineral processing facilities
    • Power generation and energy facilities
    • Chemical, petrochemical, and gas processing plants
    • Food and beverage processing plants
    • Industrial heating and combustion systems, including thermal oil heaters
    • Industrial laundries and large steam generation facilities
    • Refineries
  • Ability to follow technical instructions, safety procedures, and applicable industrial gas requirements.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a commitment to safe equipment operation.

Responsibilities:

  • Service and maintain industrial gas systems, including performing commissioning activities and fault-finding.
  • Inspect, test, and troubleshoot industrial gas installations and associated equipment.
  • Work with industrial burners, boilers, furnaces, gas trains, and combustion equipment.
  • Diagnose operational problems and carry out appropriate repairs and maintenance.
  • Work with PLC-controlled systems used in industrial gas and combustion applications.
  • Service and maintain Type B gas appliances in accordance with applicable requirements and safety procedures.
  • Monitor equipment performance and identify potential faults or maintenance needs.
  • Follow relevant gas safety requirements, technical procedures, and workplace health and safety standards.
  • Support the safe and efficient operation of industrial heating, combustion, and gas processing systems.
