HVAC Technician

Qualifications:

• Technical diploma or associate’s degree in HVAC, refrigeration, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC system components, operation, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
• Proficient in using a variety of HVAC tools and equipment, including multimeters, gauges, and power tools.
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, including checking filters, lubricating moving parts, and cleaning components.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues, identify the root cause, and implement corrective actions to restore proper operation.
• Repair or replace malfunctioning HVAC components, such as motors, fans, and control systems, using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Maintain detailed records of all HVAC maintenance activities, including work orders, repair reports, and equipment history.
• Assist senior HVAC technicians with larger-scale projects, such as system upgrades, replacements, or major overhauls.
• Monitor HVAC system performance and energy usage, and report any concerns or efficiency improvement opportunities to the supervisor.
• Comply with all applicable building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards related to HVAC systems.
• Participate in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date on the latest HVAC technologies and best practices.
