HVAC TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience as an HVAC Technician, HVAC Mechanic, or Air Conditioning Technician.
  • Knowledge of installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
  • Experience working with commercial and industrial air conditioning systems, refrigeration units, and ventilation equipment.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in HVAC systems.
  • Knowledge of HVAC components, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, thermostats, and refrigerant systems.
  • Ability to inspect equipment, identify technical problems, and carry out appropriate repairs.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and compliance with applicable refrigerant-handling requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in HVAC equipment and perform necessary repairs.
  • Inspect, maintain, and service HVAC components, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, thermostats, fans, motors, and filters.
  • Install and test HVAC equipment, ductwork, piping, and ventilation systems according to technical specifications.
  • Check refrigerant levels and inspect systems for refrigerant leaks.
  • Troubleshoot and repair commercial and industrial air conditioning systems, refrigeration units, and ventilation equipment.
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance to ensure HVAC systems operate safely and efficiently.
  • Follow applicable refrigerant-handling regulations, workplace safety procedures, and technical standards.
  • Identify defective components and recommend appropriate repairs or replacements.
