HSE NURSE
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience is required.
- Candidates must be a Bachelor’s / College Degree holder in Nursing or a similar field.
- Male applicants are preferred for this role.
- Must have professional nursing qualifications and authorization to practice as required by applicable regulations.
- Relevant experience in occupational health, industrial nursing, clinic nursing, or workplace first aid is an advantage.
- Knowledge of first aid, emergency response, injury assessment, and basic medical care.
- Knowledge of occupational health and workplace safety practices.
- Able to respond calmly and effectively to workplace accidents and medical emergencies.
- Strong assessment, documentation, communication, and coordination skills.
- Able to maintain accurate and confidential medical records.
- Good understanding of health and safety hazards in a workplace or industrial environment.
- Able to work effectively with HSE personnel, employees, supervisors, doctors, hospitals, and emergency service providers.
- Responsible, reliable, organized, and compassionate.
- Able to work under pressure and provide appropriate assistance during medical emergencies.
Responsibilities:
- Provide first aid and basic medical care to employees, workers, and authorized personnel.
- Assess and manage workplace injuries, illnesses, and other medical conditions within the scope of nursing practice.
- Respond promptly to workplace accidents, injuries, and medical emergencies.
- Provide immediate emergency care and coordinate emergency medical assistance when necessary.
- Assess the condition of injured or ill employees and determine appropriate medical referral when required.
- Conduct health assessments, screenings, and routine employee health monitoring.
- Monitor employees’ health conditions and provide appropriate follow-up care within the scope of practice.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential medical records for employees and workers.
- Document first-aid treatments, injuries, illnesses, medical consultations, and referrals.
- Prepare medical, accident, injury, and occupational health reports as required.
- Monitor and maintain first-aid kits, medicines, medical supplies, and medical equipment.
- Regularly check medical supplies and ensure essential first-aid materials are available and properly stored.
- Ensure medical equipment is clean, functional, and ready for emergency use.
- Coordinate with company doctors regarding employee health concerns, medical assessments, and treatment requirements.
- Coordinate with hospitals, clinics, emergency services, and other healthcare providers when necessary.
- Assist in arranging medical referrals and transportation for employees requiring further medical attention.
- Participate in workplace health and safety inspections.
- Assist the HSE team in identifying workplace health hazards and potential occupational health risks.
- Provide recommendations regarding basic workplace health and medical concerns.
- Support occupational health and wellness programs implemented by the company.
- Promote proper workplace hygiene, health awareness, and preventive health practices among employees.
- Assist in health and safety awareness activities, toolbox talks, and employee health education when required.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee medical information in accordance with applicable policies and professional standards.
- Follow company HSE procedures, emergency response protocols, infection control practices, and occupational health requirements.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized medical or first-aid area.
- Perform other occupational health, nursing, and HSE-related duties assigned by management.
